Trevini now open daily for lunch; $20 three-course menu available

As of today, Trevini Ristorante (290 Sunset Ave.) is now open daily for lunch with the addition of Sunday mid-day dining to the Italian restaurant’s roster.

In addition to a la carte menu selections, a $20 three-course prix-fixe lunch menu  is available with a good-value rationale behind it.

First-course choices include pasta fagioli, angel-hair pasta with tomato-basil sauce, white wine-simmered mussels with cherry tomatoes and basil, and a mixed baby green salad with roasted bell peppers, cucumber, apple, tomato and Gorgonzola.

Among main-course options: chicken- and veal-filled canelloni baked in marinara and béchamel, spinach- and ricotta-filled ravioli in wild-mushroom sauce, Tuscan-style meatloaf, chicken breast sauteed in white wine, lemon and capers, and eggplant parmigiana over spinach tagliolini.

Also: a fish of the day. For instance, today’s fish special is yellowtail snapper prepared with artichokes, portobello mushroom, cherry tomatoes and chardonnay.

Dessert? The daily selection varies. Trevini’s dessert repertoire ranges from tiramisu to warm chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream, sorbet of the day, zabaglione over fresh berries, and cheesecake with strawberry sauce.
